I am Craig W. Ispas, and my wife, Mary Jo, and I are the proprietors of CWI Construction. We have been building custom homes since 1986.
Everyone knows that building a home is a principal challenge in life, and many believe it will be frustrating. We believe it can be one of the best experiences in life and that it should be exciting and fulfilling. The quality of your home is paramount. We believe in building homes that are superior in construction and exceed the building code.
How do we achieve excellence? We are a sole proprietor, a small business, but with the experience that many larger businesses offer. When I started building homes in California in 1986, I built the entire home, from the foundation to the roof. Very few sub-contractors were utilized. I have years of experience with the particular home building trades; and I have always worked close with architects and have built homes that have exclusive designs.
I am a hands-on sole proprietor and present all the way through each project. I oversee all aspects of the building development – from our first meeting to construction to warranty follow-up. I pay attention to detail and continually examine for quality with a critical and educated eye.
Being a hands-on builder with my skill set and knowledge, combined with hard work and dedication, ensures each project is a smooth building experience and a success.
The CWI Construction experience begins with my initial visit with you, which is the most important, because building a relationship of trust and understanding your vision for your home is vital.
My goal during a first visit is to realize what your idea is for your home, answer all your questions, help you make right future decisions, whether or not you choose to work with CWI, and assist you to understand and feel comfortable with your new home building project.
I believe that after our initial meeting, you will have confidence in CWI Construction, and know that if you choose us to collaborate with you in building your home — your building experience will be exceptional.

In 1996 we selected Craig Ispas to be our contractor for the home we were building in Fallbrook. It turned out to be a very fortunate selection. Craig proved himself to not only be capable, but extremely honest in all his dealings with us. He surrounded himself with good workers and when an occasion arose where there was a problem, he would see that it was corrected even if it meant doing the work himself to get it done properly.
Since our home has been completed Craig has made himself available to us when we have had a question. We are one of the fortunate ones that have said it was fun building our house!
